The 160-square-meter lab will be open to the public on April 21st and 22nd at Beihang University.

Visitors can make reservations via email starting from April 13 and those who get their application approved will receive a confirmation with a QR Code.

Each visitor will be allowed to stay inside the lab for up to half an hour.

The cabin is the first such space developed in China and the third bio-regenerative life-support base in the world.

Professor Liu Hong with Beihang University once said that Yuegong-1, also known as Lunar Palace 1, is a bio-regenerative life-support system, the most advanced technology capable of providing a habitable environment similar to the Earth's biosphere.

Liu also said Yuegong-1 is designed for use on space missions of extended duration, in deep space, and with multiple crew members.
